BOGOTÁ VILLA DE LEYVA
TRAVEL WITH US
Hi hi! We miss traveling with you and are so excited to announce we are SOLD OUT!
We are so grateful for your trust and are honored to host a group of brilliant, adventurous travelers in Bogotá and Villa de Leyva. If you’re interested in future trips, keep an eye out on @matriatravels for a future trip announcement in early March ;)
There’s no better way to connect with yourself and the world around you than travel. Manue, my mom, instilled this in me- we’ve been traveling together for a long time. And we want to open up our adventures, insights, and experiences to you and eleven other travel companions again for the most perfect way to usher in the upcoming year- two beautiful cities, a workshop designed to reflect and prepare for the year ahead, and a retreat to create lasting friendships both with yourself and the people you adventure with. The past few years have been intense. It’s time to choose something bold, caring, and completely for yourself.
SO we’re going to Bogotá and Villa de Leyva.
BOGOTÁ: ELECTRIC, COSMOPOLITAN, SATURATED WITH ART
Colombia’s sprawling capital city nestled in the Andes, Bogotá is a cultural hub unlike any other. The city blends chaos with colonial charm and typical Colombian warmth. We love this city because of how real, unapologetic, and artistic it is.
VILLA DE LEYVA: ROMANTIC, PEACEFUL, A PLACE WHERE TIME STANDS STILL
A beautifully preserved colonial town, Villa de Leyva is where the locals go to escape the city. Surrounded by mountains and known for its cobblestone streets, this sleepy haven is full of nature, art, and the friendliest people you’ll meet. The perfect place to pause for your best year.
A bustling, working city and a quiet mountain town. Two contradictions come together to bring us energy, inspiration, and a full recharge.
EXPECT:
Culinary experiences: Airy coffee shops, traditional meals, Colombian dive bars, exotic fruits, rooftop dinners, Bogotá’s innovative fine dining.
Reconnection with nature: Hikes through sacred sites of the Muisca people, mountainous views, Colombia’s biodiversity.
Sessions with intention: A workshop to explore and uncover our relationship with time- and how to tend to it for your best year yet.
Culture and art: Guided walks through one of Bogotá’s most beautiful neighborhoods, a visit to an architectural feat, an artisan market for unforgettable shopping, streets, views, and corners that will reignite your creativity.
Time for you: A spa day that will replenish your system, free time to take in Colombia’s quiet magic.
Magical stays: We booked y’all a villa. Like, an actual villa overlooking the mountains (pics below.)

And so much more.

PAST TRIPS
This is definitely not our first rodeo. Pics and comments from past trips and travelers below for some FOMO.
“I did myself a solid and stepped outside of the United States. I found a magical place where black women are celebrated and protected. I spent this time with 10 amazing souls and we all cried when it was over. Storybook vacation.”- Gwenn M (first trip after having her baby!)
“Going on this trip in 2019 changed my life forever. I have never traveled to another country with such confidence and peace—but going with Manue and Nikka allowed me to relax, and know that every second would be taken care of. With this, I was able to truly enjoy my experience and learn so much about myself, I am so thankful for this experience and anyone that is on the fence should know that this experience will forever change you for the better”- Christal R.
FAQs
Okay, but what is actually included?
We really do mean all-inclusive. All meals and snacks, transportation inside of Colombia, gratuities, taxes, activities, the workshop, and even a donation to a local non-profit! The only things not included are alcoholic drinks and the flight to and from Colombia.
Can you help me choose my flight?
Absolutely! Once you sign up, we’ll reach out and let you know when is the best timing for arrivals and departures.
What are the accommodations like?
We’ll be staying at a villa in Villa de Leyva and a hotel in Bogotá. Everyone will have their own bed and share a room with one or two roommates. The first people to sign up get the priority room picks where they have the least amount of sharing required :)
What activities will we be doing?
A spa day, hiking, shopping, dance classes, and more.
What if I have dietary restrictions?
Let us know ahead of time and we will do our best to accomodate!
Do I have to know Spanish?
Not at all! Of course, we always recommend practicing a bit ahead of your trip, but you have two very capable Colombian hosts (Manue and I.)
Is travel insurance required?
Recommended, but not required.
We can’t wait to travel with you. Feel free to email me at nikkaaduarte@gmail.com with any questions, or fill out the form and we’ll get in contact.
